Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to permanently appoint a competent individual with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of Duplo Operator / Digital Print Enhancement Operator in the Digital department. The successful candidate will report to the Digital Book Production Coordinator. The ideal candidate is dependable, quality-focused and technically minded. They should be comfortable working with production equipment, able to identify problems early and willing to learn and develop their skills on the Duplo system.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Operate the Duplo DDC-8000 Digital Embellishment machine (Spot UV, foil and surface treatments) safety and effeciently to job specifications, production targets and quality standards
• Check registration and finish quality throughout each run, keeping waste to a minimum
• Handle basic fault finding and routine operator maintenance, and keep UV varnish, foil and other consumables stocked 
• Maintain good housekeeping and safety standards, working closely with Prepress, Digital Printing, Sheetfed, Finishing, Maintenance and Binder
