Introduction

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead plant reliability and engineering performance within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, stable operations across multiple production lines, equipment, and supporting utilities, while driving continuous improvement in plant performance.
Job description
- Lead and manage all maintenance and engineering activities across the plant
- Drive preventative and predictive maintenance programmes
- Improve plant reliability and reduce downtime
- Lead troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and process failures
- Ensure performance of production equipment and utilities systems
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues through hands-on, on-site engagement
- Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and spare parts control
- Oversee cooling systems, compressed air, and electrical infrastructure
- Deliver engineering improvements and plant optimisation projects
- Ensure compliance with OHSA and GMR 2
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure alignment on operational goals
- Lead and develop maintenance teams
Minimum requirements
• Engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial)
• GMR 2 certification (essential)
• 8–10 years manufacturing experience
• Experience in high-speed production environments
• Experience in packaging, extrusion, printing, or converting advantageous
